Services: 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam

Visitation: Wednesday, September 7th from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home

Jerome V. “Jerry” Wichinski, 84, a resident of Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, and formerly a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Dr. Mark J. Molldrem officiating. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Tn. Trenton at a later date.

Jerry was born the son of Stanley and Leona (Sweig) Wichinski on December 26, 1926 in Beaver Dam. He was married to Liane L. Jensen on October 9, 1982 in Beaver Dam. Jerry was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jerry was employed with the maintenance department of Kraft Foods in Beaver Dam for 42 years. He also managed the Kraft Credit Union for 25 years. Jerry served two terms as an alderman for the city of Beaver Dam for the 13th ward. He was an avid dancer and loved music, especially polka.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Liane of Beaver Dam; his children: Richard (Cassandra) Wichinski of Milwaukee, Randall (Nancy) Wichinski of Milwaukee, Terry Jenkins of La Crosse, Bendi (John) Egan of Denver, CO, Kim (Roger) Kintopp of Mayville, Merri Riel of Georgia, and Karen Walters of Fitchburg; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his children: Robin Walker and Ronald Jenkins and his brothers: Reuben and Eugene.

Jerry’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau for their loving kindness and attention.
